PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for planning, administering, reporting and enhancing the employee benefit programs. This role serves as an advisor to HR leadership and partners closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders to optimize and enhance benefit offerings to attract and retain employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides benefit plan administration.
Plans and administers benefits communication.
Provides analysis, design and recommendations of forward-thinking benefits solutions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Professional in Human Resource (PHR) benefits related certification such as Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Office environment - no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands and employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.

The current range for this position is
$78,678.61 - $132,686.15
This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for planning, administering, reporting and enhancing the employee benefit programs. This role serves as an advisor to HR leadership and partners closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders to optimize and enhance benefit offerings to attract and retain employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides benefit plan administration.
- Performs benefit enrollment administration and audits.
- Resolves benefit related issues and responds to queries and requests.
- Collaborates with payroll and ensures that payroll deductions are processed accurately.
- Maintains and creates records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state and provider regulations.
- Reconciles and pays benefit premiums. Serves as Coupa administrator for benefits billing.
- Completes annual regulatory filings and nondiscrimination testing for applicable plans.
- Ensures all plan documents are current and in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates daily benefits processing, handles enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims.
Plans and administers benefits communication.
- Administers annual benefit open enrollment, including marketing and scheduling of educational meetings.
- Provides benefit information to Team Members and management to increase their understanding of coverage provided by ICW.
- Schedules and facilitates the benefit education programs. May prepare PowerPoint presentations, facilitate information sessions, and facilitate meetings as needed.
- Engages with Team Members, and ensures consistent, clear, and friendly communication and a positive customer experience is provided.
- Serves as point of contact for benefits vendors. Coordinates transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
- Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
Provides analysis, design and recommendations of forward-thinking benefits solutions.
- Evaluates existing benefits programs and benchmarks against industry standards.
- Conducts research on new or improved benefits offerings.
- Recommends and implements new benefits programs.
- Stays current on relevant legislation and industry trends.
- Prepares reports and presentations for varying required and requested audiences and or governing groups.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in benefits administration-or analysis related experience required.
- Experience with Workday preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information to Team Members and leaders on a group or one-on-one basis and to organize information in a presentation.
- Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as in program/project support.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must possess intermediate data entry skills with the ability to learn enterprise and department specific applications.
- Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills with particular attention to detail required.
- Strong organization skills required. Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
