Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for an administrative faculty position as a tenured Professor and Senior Associate Dean of Administration, Finance and Operations of the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services with a preferred start date of January 1, 2026. This is a twelve-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
The Senior Associate Dean, reporting directly to the Dean, in collaboration with other college leaders will oversee all business operations for the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services (WCHHS). Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Responsibilities
The Senior Associate Dean, reporting directly to the Dean, in collaboration with other college leaders will oversee all business operations for the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services (WCHHS). Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development and implementation of policies for operational procedures and personnel actions;
- Managing resource allocations and budget planning;
- Assisting units with fiscal management and oversight of operational and research funding, including budget preparation, forecasting, and reconciliations;
- Ensuring compliance with university and state policies and procedures;
- Monitoring compensation and classification initiatives for staff and faculty;
- Overseeing facilities and space utilization and optimization including maintenance, renovation and capital projects;
- Facilitating acquisition and use of equipment and technologies;
- Monitoring and managing equipment lifecycle and replacement strategies;
- Managing special projects assigned by the Dean;
- Representing the WCHHS in campus meetings when the Dean is absent.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- An earned terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, with an academic background and appropriate credentials to be a tenured Professor in an academic department in the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services.
- A record of success in higher education teaching and discipline-based research.
- At least three years advanced administrative experience in higher education or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of successful oversight of annual budgets and strategic resource allocations.
- Experience in human resources activities such as hiring and retaining faculty and staff, reorganizing unit structures, and creating effective compensation schemes;
- Evidence of a collegial, accessible, and consultative approach to leadership with a record of building meaningful partnerships and relationships internally and externally;
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to represent both KSU and the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services to internal and external stakeholders.
