The Supply Chain Electrical Controls Engineer at Krber will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical control systems within the supply chain. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient and reliable operations, troubleshooting issues, and integrating new technologies to enhance supply chain performance. This position is based in Irving, Texas and reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.

The Supply Chain Electrical Controls Engineer at Krber will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical control systems within the supply chain. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient and reliable operations, troubleshooting issues, and integrating new technologies to enhance supply chain performance. This position is based in Irving, Texas and reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.
Your role in our team
- Design and Implementation: You will develop and implement electrical control systems for supply chain operations, including automation and robotics.
- Optimization: You will analyze current systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Troubleshooting: You will diagnose and resolve issues with electrical control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to supply chain operations and prepare incident reports using PSM methodology.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering teams to integrate control systems with other operational processes. Provide onsite and remote support. Work with team to resolve complex situations.
- Compliance: You will ensure all electrical control systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Documentation: You will maintain detailed records of system designs, modifications, and performance metrics. Develop documentation such as technical bulletins and OEM Manuals
- Training: You will provide training and support to staff on new systems and technologies.
Your profile
- You have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Controls, Automation or equivalent combination of education and minimum 5 years' experience on the job.
- You have proven experience in designing and implementing electrical control systems, preferably within a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
- You have experience in electrical schematics (Control Panels, Motor Control Panels, Motor Control Centers, Power Distributions).
- You are able to travel up to 60% of the time.
- You have experience in loading software, GUI navigation and troubleshooting.
- You have experience with ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley and Siemens family PLC's.
- You are proficient with mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- You have experience in CAD tools and simulation software.
- You have knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- You have an understanding on Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, and Modbus TCP industrial control/IT networks.
- You have experience working with PLC's HMI's VFD's, MCC's and electrical power distribution systems.
- You are fluent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- You are self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges and tasks.
- You are dependable with a great work ethic and attendance.
- You are able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- You have experience establishing a good working relationship with customers and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- You have a driving license in good standing is essential.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You have the ability to work flexible schedule, as needed, to meet customers' demands.
- IEEE certification preferred
