The Controller is responsible for leading the financial operations of the organization. This role encompasses budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning support. The Controller will work closely with senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, optimize reporting processes, and support business growth through sound fiscal management.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP, regulatory, and audit standards
- Lead preparation of the annual budget and forecasting processes; track and report on variances
- Supervise accounting team operations and collaborate with department leaders to support budget adherence
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, reports, dashboards, and special analyses to executive leadership
- Maintain and enforce financial policies and internal control procedures across treasury and accounting functions
- Coordinate and support external audit activities
- Provide financial insight and analysis for capital planning, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
- Partner with the CFO/Director of Finance to develop financial strategies, forecasts, and growth initiatives
- Monitor financial performance and risk, ensuring systems are accurate, reliable, and secure
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a healthcare accounting leadership role (Controller or higher)
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP system
