Culmen is seeking a Systems Biology Staff Scientist leads and supports research efforts analyzing high-dimensional omics datasets to uncover molecular and immunological mechanisms underlying infectious diseases.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
- Conduct integrative analyses using transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data.
- Design and execute experiments investigating host response to infection.
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians and lab scientists.
- Develop visualizations and models for biological pathways.
- Publish findings and present to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in systems biology, computational biology, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience
- Experience with large biological datasets and statistical modeling.
- Familiarity with R, Python, or MATLAB.
- Understanding of immunological and molecular biology concepts.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.
