JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
A Computer Scientist provides senior-level software and systems engineering services to a variety of projects or customer efforts and has a critical impact on future business and/or existing relationships.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Travel to remote company work locations may be required.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
A Computer Scientist provides senior-level software and systems engineering services to a variety of projects or customer efforts and has a critical impact on future business and/or existing relationships.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
- Function as a technical lead, technical manager, or system architect of multiple projects at the department level, as directed by management
- Purse new business efforts, lead proposal efforts, and act as a technical consultant
- Direct and provide guidance to technical staff on complex projects
- Direct/participate in planning, design, and implementation of work within functional scope
- Work independently of direct supervision in pursuit of goals defined by management
- Develop the design of system/software and associated design documentation
- Represent the company to customers, co-contractors, competitors, or other elements with JT4
- Implement design through software coding or hardware and document the design implementation
- Maintain high visibility to the customer and JT4 senior management
- Provide or facilitate the synthesis between multiple technical and management disciplines within the company and those provided by coworkers
- Establish and maintain positive customer relations
- Perform other job-related duties, as required
- Experience in modeling and simulation field
- High degree of proficiency in C++

- A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 14 years of related experience
- A master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience
- A PhD in an associated discipline and a minimum of eight years of experience
In addition, the Computer Scientist should possess the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise with computer-based systems and applications
- Senior-level programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasks
- Senior-level expertise in the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques
- Extensive knowledge of systems engineering and software development lifecycles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning/organizational skills
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Experience with real-time data stream processing
- Experience building graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
- Knowledge of data links (Link-16)
