Job Purpose
This position will play an important role in shaping the Company's public image and reputation as the leader of the Public Relations, Public Affairs, and Crisis Communications team within the Communications function. As well as being a strong communicator, this role will manage external communications, including PR, Crisis Communications, and Media Relations for TechnipFMC, as well as the Public Relations team. The Senior Manager will be an integral part of the communications team, shaping narratives, building relationships, and amplifying our impact. This position will collaborate closely with stakeholders, ensuring effective messaging, brand consistency, and positive engagement with the public, media, clients, and partners.

Alongside the Communications Director, this position is responsible for leading Public Relations-related communications within TechnipFMC. Key areas of responsibility include:

Example - Office: Spends a minimum of 95% of the time in an office environment. Rare potential shop exposure if visiting that work environment for short periods of time which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Describe amount & frequency of physical requirements of the position (i.e. lifting, pushing, climbing)
Example - Office: Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Some potential exposure to possible shop hazards when visiting the shop/field environment that includes high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic.

Job Description
Alongside the Communications Director, this position is responsible for leading Public Relations-related communications within TechnipFMC. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Manage the Public Relations Team: Oversee the PR team, ensuring effective coordination and execution of all public relations activities.
- Develop and Execute PR and Crisis Communications Strategy: Create a comprehensive PR and crisis communications plan, defining key messages, channels, tactics, and content to effectively reach external audiences. Implement this strategy to maintain and enhance the company's public image.
- Align PR Efforts with Investor Relations and Marketing: Work closely with Investor Relations and Marketing to ensure cohesive public relations and public affairs strategies. Identify and leverage PR opportunities for press releases and media advisories, while Investor Relations handles the press release process.
- Cultivate Media Relationships and Oversee Inquiries: Build and maintain positive relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets. Manage global and local media inquiries, coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media briefings. Develop media content such as talking points, media kits, and Q&As.
- Lead Crisis Communications and Media Training Programs: Develop crisis communications plans and protocols, and manage communication during emergencies. Implement media training programs for senior leaders, including crisis communication training and drill practice.
- Track Media Coverage and Measure PR Effectiveness: Partner with Communications Operations to document necessary processes and governance. Monitor media coverage and measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
You are meant for this job if:
- This role is based in Houston and no relocation package will be offered
- Ten or more years of B2B communications experience.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a large, culturally diverse global environment.
- Must be able to deliver clear, compelling, and articulate written and verbal communications.
- Has a good eye for evaluating creative design options that will resonate with target audience.
- Strong planning and project management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Able to maintain and protect confidentiality.
- Ability to manage upward in the organization to influence executives and senior leaders.
- Budgetary management experience.
