Our company seeks a senior accountant for our Corporate Finance Security and Exchange Commission Reporting department. This role is responsible for participating in quarterly and annual financial reporting, researching and implementing new accounting pronouncements, and completing special projects to comply with Security and Exchange Commission rules and regulations. This position will also have a role and responsibility within the Treasury function. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, OH. Many departments at our Headquarters offer hybrid work options, empowering associates to work from home several days a week. Depending on your role and responsibilities, hybrid options may be available.
The pay range for the accountant position is $85,000 - $110,000 annually. The position and pay determination are based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:
- identify relevant accounting standards, summarize key changes and share findings with senior leaders
- assist in research, documenation and support of the implementation process of new accounting pronouncements and transactions
- monitor FASB, SEC and other regulatory organizations, summarize changes and implications and report findings
- participate in quarterly and annual SEC reporting (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)
- prepare SEC tables and disclosures with accuracy, timeliness and compliance
- utilize accounting research software systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- support senior management with accounting projects and analysis
- assist with monthly closing activities for accurate financial reporting
- resolve internal and external audit inquiries promptly
- maintain and update bank reconciliations and research outstanding items
- support daily cash flow monitoring and management
- analyze bank fees to ensure appropriateness
- assist in processing and recording bank transactions and payments
- ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including proper documentation for audits
- assist in preparing cash reports for management
Be equipped with:
- developed leadership skills
- proficiency in using accounting principles for financial statement preparation
- willingness and the ability to learn and use accounting software systems
- strong attention to detail
- organization skills
- the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- the ability to work independently or collaboratively, with a readiness to ask questions
- an aptitude to lead and embrace change
- a bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
- three to five years of accounting experience in financial reporting for a public company
- an active CPA certification
- previous public accounting experience
