Who we want... (Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in occupational or environmental health and safety (or similar) and a minimum of 5 years of related construction safety experience or training OR a minimum of 5-10 years of related construction safety experience or training.
- Possess leadership skills that helps cultivate a cohesive and successful team
- Light/heavy industrial construction experience
- Must have ability to identify known potential exposures and lead implementation of corrective actions.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and
- NCSO and Advanced First Aid strongly

What we expect... (Essential Functions)
- Serve as on-site Safety Officer for assigned
- Monitor and inspect the job site for health and safety compliance, identifying any potential hazards that may result in injuries or accidents.
- Implement all proper safety and health policies onsite, discussing any issues with the project manager, contractor, and other safety professionals.
- Provide health and safety training and information to all employees onsite to ensure that site safety requirements are being met at all times.
- Establish and manage a jobsite safety culture in accordance with Gray's safety program.
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring of new site safety team members on your assigned project.
- Review, evaluate and make determination on contractor site safety programs.
- Mentor contractors to help assure compliance with Gray guidelines.
- Maintain owner and Gray specified safety records. Assist in developing project specific site safety plans and an emergency response plan.
- Confers with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within work force.
- Other duties may be assigned.
