Overview
Full-Time Faculty, under the supervision of the Program Director and Academic/ Clinical Coordinator, is
responsible for the management and evaluation of the program's academic and clinical components.
The Faculty member will work 36+ hours per week. Eligible for 8 hours of clinical time.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties Accreditation:
Assists the Academic/ Clinical Coordinator with the following:
Maintain accreditation by coordinating the efforts of the PA Program to meet and/or exceed the ARC-PA Standards.
Teaching:
Instruct first year, second year and culminating year students in the following:
a) Physical Diagnosis Lab Instructor
b) Clinical Correlations Instructor
c) Procedures Instructor
d) Lecturing in area of expertise
e) Advising first year and second year students
f) Reviewing and grading master's projects
Curriculum:
a) Review academic/clinical curricular content for appropriateness to PA practice
b) Monitor evaluation of learning outcomes
c) Create and review academic and clinical exams
Committee Service:
a) Will participate on appropriate committees (as schedule allows) as requested by the Program Director.
b) Participates in reaccreditation and program evaluation activities as deemed appropriate by the Program
Director.
Responsibilities for general aspects of the PA Program and the College of Education and Health Science
a) Participating in the admissions process including application review, interview and serving on the
admissions committee.
b) Participation in the developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals, and
competencies of the program.
c) Participation in scholarly activities is encouraged (involvement in professional organizations, research,
etc.)
d) Participating in remedial instruction
e) Participating in the preparation of accreditation documents and participating in the self-study process.
f) Serving on school-wide committee is encouraged
g) Participating in the recruitment effort
Education, Preparation, and Training:
a) Recommended- Master's degree or higher or a professional degree is required
b) Valid clinical license (if applicable)
c) Board Certification (if applicable)
d) Current clinical practice is recommended
Skills
a) Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity
b) Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
c) Good interpersonal skills are required, both written and oral
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
