Team Intro:
The USDS Privacy and Integrated Security team is responsible for overseeing and governing all activities of privacy impacts to TikTok USDS' operations. We address complex and cutting-edge challenges, aiming to build the world's most trusted social media platform. We partner with TikTok global legal, R&D, Privacy and Data Protection Office, and security organizations in advancing our privacy practices. We oversee, govern and support the integration and optimization of operational privacy capabilities including data inventory, data classification, data retention/deletion, and incident response, etc., to ensure scalable and compliant privacy and data protection practices.

As a direct report to the Privacy Risk Management Lead, the Privacy Risk Coordinator is a program leader at the forefront of ensuring adherence to privacy regulations and building trust in the TikTok US platform. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and supporting the USDS privacy risk program under the broad security, privacy and compliance context. You will collaborate with global and US cross-functional teams to facilitate privacy risk program objectives, and measure the impact of our strategic decisions and operational executions on the privacy posture of the TikTok US platform.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, execution, and measurement of the privacy risk program aligned with TikTok global and USDS objectives.
- Manage and track objectives and key results (OKR) using OKR framework methodology, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Foster partnerships with cross-functional teams and drive constructive communications.
- Drive projects from initiation to delivery. Identify and mitigate risks. Develop mitigation plans and continuously improve project delivery processes. Provide regular status reports and updates to senior leadership.
- Identify areas for automation to increase efficiency of repeated tasks, such as regular status reporting, and track staffing, contracting, and procurement. Assess tooling needs, evaluate solutions, drive to adopt internal toolings, develop custom solutions or acquire 3rd party products.
- Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in consulting, program management, compliance/risk management, or other related disciplines. Candidates with significant relevant experience in security and privacy program management will also be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- Experience in enterprise setting with excellent understanding of business operations, program governance, stakeholder relationships, and cross-functional processes.
- Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving project or program initiatives for a large and global organization
- Expertise in managing multiple dependencies, measuring performance against established objectives and KPIs, and making informed trade-off decisions. Experience creating and disseminating reports to multi-level audiences in a technical environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to summarize complex requirements effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project or program management experience in a global R&D, information security or GRC setting
- One or more of the following certifications: PMP, CSM, CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CRISC
- Strong technical background, e.g., in R&D, cyber security, information security, GRC
- Knowledge of one or more industry security and privacy standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, IAPP, ISC2, ISACA)
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, COPPA, CCPA, etc.)

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (Annually) - Washington, DC
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is 88920 - 162400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
