As a Senior Test and Validation Engineer, you will lead the development and execution of test automation systems for drive units and powertrain components. You will be responsible for leading specific sub-systems based on your background and field of expertise. You will manage the full lifecycle of testing, from test planning and execution to analysis and reporting. Additionally, you will lead Design Verification and Product Reliability (DVPR) activities, driving the completion of DVPR items, and introduce innovative methods for component testing. You will also work closely with Staff engineers to develop and implement new, cutting-edge testing methods.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and optimization of automated test systems for drive units and powertrain components.
Oversee performance, durability, and environmental tests, including HALT, for EV drive units, ensuring successful execution of each phase.
Take the lead on Design Verification and Product Reliability (DVPR) activities, ensuring that all DVPR items are completed and validated on time.
Innovate and introduce new methods for testing components, improving accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
Analyze complex test data using numerical analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, AVL PUMA, REPS) and generate actionable insights.
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and validation procedures for hardware, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and improve product design and reliability.
Drive process optimization to reduce testing cycle time and improve test coverage.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Prepare and present detailed reports on test results, insights, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Work closely with Staff engineers to introduce innovative testing methods and drive technological advancements in the test process.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in test automation, powertrain testing, and data analysis.
Expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, AVL PUMA, REPS) and numerical analysis methods.
Extensive experience in conducting HALT, environmental testing, and durability testing for automotive or powertrain systems.
Proven leadership abilities with experience mentoring and guiding teams.
In-depth experience leading DVPR activities, including test case development and validation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$140,000-$192,500 USD
