The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Role:
  • Lead and own the transformation of Product Control processes, fostering innovation to adapt to the evolving needs of the business and regulatory landscape
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline P&L reporting, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with the firm's long-term objectives
  • Drive initiatives to modernize reconciliation frameworks, introducing automated and advanced solutions to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Act as a change agent, challenging existing processes and championing cross-departmental collaboration to identify and implement impactful improvements
  • Develop and refine P&L attribution methodologies, leveraging data and analytics to deliver enhanced insights for strategic decision-making
  • Oversee the reconciliation of P&L and balance sheet front to back, setting new standards for transparency and control
  • Advocate for the evolution of valuation processes, ensuring robust and fair mark-to-market (MtM) assessments while enhancing valuation frameworks
  • Partner with stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations to influence strategic priorities and ensure seamless execution of change initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership, mentoring junior team members and driving a culture of excellence, innovation, and adaptability
  • Lead cross-functional teams in resolving high-impact issues and managing change projects, ensuring successful delivery and measurable outcomes that transform the bank's operations


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; advanced certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience within a Product Control team, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, for preparing impactful presentations and reports
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cultures and regions, driving transformative change while upholding organizational values
  • Strong confidence and expertise to represent the team when engaging with business stakeholders on P&L matters
  • Background in public accounting, preferably with experience at a Big 4 firm
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge, including substantial exposure to fixed income and derivative products across multiple facets
  • CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting fundamentals
  • Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, and/or VBA is advantageous
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, thrive under tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to collaborating with senior stakeholders across finance, front office, treasury, operations, and IT to drive strategic initiatives


The typical base pay range for this role is between $119K - $160K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
