Job Summary

The Director, Capital Management job entails effectively managing the Company's capital resources. This role will develop and implement capital plans, strategies and policies to ensure the efficient and effective use of capital. This job will analyze financial data, forecast and model scenarios to support capital budgeting decisions, monitor capital ratios, and make recommendations to optimize the company's capital structure. This job will play a critical role in ensuring the Company maintains adequate capital levels to comply with regulatory requirements and support the Company's operations and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver analytical support around the Company's annual plan and stress testing results to provide senior management with key insights into the Company's capital levels under a range of economic scenarios.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to monitor capital performance and provide insights to management.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate capital-related risks.
  • Assess the impact of new products, regulations, or market developments on the Company's capital levels.
  • Complete ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decisions.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in statutory accounting and capital management for a P&C insurance company
  • Familiarity with NAIC risk-based capital model and AM Best capital adequacy ratio model for property & casualty companies.
  • Proficiency in developing and using financial models to forecast capital needs and performance
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to find insights and solutions in ambiguity.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel for required in-person meetings on a quarterly basis
