We're hiring a Head of Creative & Marketing who wants to influence cutting-edge real estate.

Bring your ideas to life with creative and marketing strategies for innovative real estate projects in cities across the United States. This portfolio-wide, department leader reports to the Director of Portfolio Operations and works in collaboration with the Art Director and the Real Estate Services departments to execute creative and marketing strategies for Jamestown assets. The primary focus of the position is to lead the execution of creative and marketing initiatives to foster dynamic places and push the boundaries creatively within the brand standards of Jamestown.

Tactics used in property strategies include, but are not limited to, advertising, branding/visual identity, environmental graphics, events, general marketing, interior design, photography/video, social media, websites, and similar projects. The Head of Creative & Marketing is responsible for leading the property-level budget process with goals that ladder up to the Business Plans for each property, as well as managing the corporate departmental budget.

The Head of Creative & Marketing manages a dynamic team of over 50 employees, with Regional Vice Presidents and Specialist Vice Presidents as direct reports. The Head of Creative & Marketing is responsible for maintaining balanced employee utilization, ensuring the company's overall goals are met efficiently. Staffing resources flex to meet the needs of a dynamic portfolio requiring attention to recruitment, talent analyses, and resource allocation. The position meets with staff members regularly to coach team members through issues with projects and to connect resources across the department and company.

As the leader of the department, the Head of Creative & Marketing establishes departmental meetings and sets the agenda to ensure all team members stay apprised of department- and company-wide initiatives. Regular onboarding of new employees in the department and the company at-large and training programs for Creative & Marketing-specific systems and software are an integral part of the role. The position requires a keen eye for detail and an ability to maintain consistency across numerous product types.

The Head of Creative & Marketing works cross functionally to contribute to office leasing, retail leasing, tenant support, foot traffic and sales throughout the portfolio. The position works cross functionally to monitor Key Performance Indicators and Return on Investment of marketing initiatives.

The Head of Creative & Marketing serves as project manager for various special projects and corporate initiatives. Examples have included oversight of the Year in Numbers internal report, the ESG Annual Report, holiday decor approval, and the corporate holiday card/gift. The position also participates in the creation of pitches to potential Services clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute a cohesive brand strategy across corporate, portfolio, and asset levels, ensuring alignment with executive leadership and operational teams
  • Oversee the development of strategic asset marketing plans, providing editorial oversight and creative direction; ensure projects stay on budget and are delivered on time
  • Lead and mentor a geographically diverse team, fostering collaboration between in-house designers, external consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Evaluate and implement creative and marketing systems to enhance efficiency and innovation
  • Maintain brand consistency across digital platforms, marketing decks, and creative content
  • Analyze industry trends and market insights to keep Jamestown at the forefront of design, branding, and experiential marketing
  • Travel regularly to conduct site visits, engage with staff, and oversee marketing execution


Qualifications (required)
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing and creative leadership, with a strong background in real estate, hospitality, or luxury branding
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary, geographically diverse teams and executing high-impact brand strategies
  • Expertise in campaign development, digital marketing, and brand storytelling
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing marketing budgets and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of design principles, placemaking strategies, and branding in retail, hospitality, and mixed-use environments
  • Knowledge of historical trends in architecture, interiors, color, graphics, and branding
  • Ability to convey ideas visually and verbally
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job


Preferred Skills:
  • Functional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Squarespace, and marketing automation tools
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Communicating graphic ideas clearly and quickly
  • Ability to meet deadlines, accomplish work in order of priority; professional presentation of point of view, corporate image, and flexibility in changing conditions
  • Ability to lead, self motivate, communicate, and collaborate on multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills


Work Environment & Schedule:

  • This role requires occasional evening/weekend work and travel for site visits, events, and stakeholder meetings
