Job Title: Pharmacy Supervisor

Must-Have:

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred, including 1-year residency
- Three years of pharmacist experience; minimum of two years in hospital practice preferred
- Must be licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications (preferred)

Job Description:

- Direct, manage, and supervise daily administrative operations to ensure the highest quality service response and delivery consistent with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards.
- Develop operational and financial outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems, and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide quality improvement systems.
- Direct, implement, and evaluate the development of departmental, functional, and service-related policies and procedures.
- Proactively assess program, service, and functional effectiveness; make regular and consistent efforts to develop and facilitate continuous process improvement.
- Develop and supervise staff through timely feedback and the use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to facilitate and ensure the ability of staff to achieve the highest level of professional growth and desired performance standards.
- Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate computer-based information and dispensing systems to ensure ongoing efficiency and accuracy of data capture.
- Develop, manage, and supervise purchasing and inventory management functions to ensure cost-effective inventory management while providing timely availability of appropriate pharmaceuticals and related products.
- Facilitate the professional growth of staff by accurately assessing learning needs, styles, and barriers to learning; coordinate learning opportunities.
- Prepare monthly progress and operational reports; identify areas of improvement, concerns, and recommendations.
- Participate in departmental orientation, on-the-job training, and quality assurance programs and initiatives.
- Participate in a variety of department and educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identify and discuss performance or training needs with supervisors.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
