Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Total Rewards within the Office of Human Resources. The Associate Director of Total Rewards is responsible for developing and managing the University's overall compensation, benefits and wellbeing programs. These programs include salary administration, health plans, retirement plans, and other employee perks, with a focus on aligning employee rewards with organizational goals to attract and retain top talent while also containing costs. The Associate Director will contribute to the development and implementation of the University's overall Total Rewards strategy, considering market trends, competitor analysis, and budget constraints and will develop and implement competitive compensation strategies that align with the organization's business objectives. This position is responsible for the overall design and execution of the University's "total rewards" package for a $10MM fringe budget.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, with a strong understanding of market trends and best practices.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, conduct research, and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Orientation for both global analysis of impact of benefits and compensation changes and ability to manage details.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) is strongly preferred.
