About the team
The Local Services team is dedicated to delivering innovative support for core TikTok products, such as TikTok and Lemon8. The team manages location-based databases and services with the goal of helping local businesses-including small business owners, beauty services, hotels, and restaurants-connect with millions of users. By addressing unmet needs, the team plays a vital role in supporting and growing our community.

Within the Local Services team, the TikTok Content Ecosystem function is responsible for the health of the platform as well as user and creative growth. The function is responsible for monitoring the content ecosystem to uncover potential challenges and opportunities, 2) working closely with machine learning engineering teams on model recognition, content understanding, and ranking/recommendation systems with the goal of optimizing traffic and content diversification, while improving the creator/user experience.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities
- This role supports our Local Services business and is responsible for product strategy while finding opportunities to improve TikTok's content ecosystem.
- Defines the product's strategy, roadmap, and features, ensuring that it meets customer needs and aligns with company wide goals to increase user growth.
- Collaborates with cross functional partners such as machine learning engineers and data scientists to design and implement ranking/recommendation strategies that achieve business results.
- Conducts market research to understand the needs of the US Market, identify trends and develop solutions to improve the user experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience at an internet content company, as a Product or Operations Program Manager, or similar.
- Positive mindset and curiosity to learn to tackle tough problems

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in related location-based services domain, such as mapping technology with a large user base.
- Experience working with global cross functional teams.
- Experience working with engineering teams in the content ranking, recommendations or moderation domain.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $149040 - $246400 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
