We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Program Manager, Environmental Engineer to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Charlotte, NC office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Inthis position, you will:
  • Draw from your diverse experience to lead some of our most complex projects and programs, leading teams of project managers and technical experts, with a focus on delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety.
  • Lead the development of team technical competencies, knowledge of relevant codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks.
  • Balance management responsibilities with technical strategy and client advocacy, ensure project delivery aligns with professional standards and client expectations, and develop strong client relationships.
  • Hold primary responsibility for the success of programs, including contract negotiations, pricing, structure and processes, project planning and execution, resourcing, scheduling, and financial management.
  • Collaborate closely to support project teams, providing oversight, observing health and safety processes and procedures, and developing a working understanding of our various consulting practice areas.
  • Regularly and effectively communicate with clients, partners, subcontractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Apply situational leadership and emotional intelligence to facilitate management of diverse stakeholders and team members.
  • Plan and direct large, complex, multidisciplinary field investigations for civil and environmental projects.
  • Lead large project civil and environmental engineering technical evaluations, design efforts, permitting efforts, design and contract package development, construction procurement support, and construction quality control.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or related field.
  • 20+ years of related work experience, including direct project management experience.
  • Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
  • Understanding and experience working under 10 CFR 50 Appendix B requirements.
  • Nuclear industry experience and licensing requirements per the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
  • Ability to independently lead multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.
  • Proficient computer literacy skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and the ability to learn various software needed to support financial management, diverse project needs, and client requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Broad civil and/or environmental engineering experience that spans the entire project lifecycle.

Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years of program management and financial management experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.
