Description

Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused Surface Tactics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide advanced technical expertise and support for highly specialized applications and operational environments. The SME will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and advising on complex problems related to surface warfare tactics, systems integration, and operational doctrine, supporting warfighting readiness across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide extremely high-level subject matter expertise to support task execution in surface warfare tactics and related mission areas
• Apply advanced knowledge of surface tactics, operational environments, and systems integration to analyze and solve complex problems
• Conduct high-level functional systems analysis, design, documentation, and integration
• Develop technical reports, studies, charts, and related documentation to convey findings and recommendations
• Prepare and deliver formal presentations, training sessions, and briefings as required by the task order
• Provide advisory support on nuanced and complex challenges requiring extensive domain knowledge and understanding of Navy doctrine
• Support documentation and refinement of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) relevant to current and emerging fleet needs
• Collaborate with warfare centers, fleet commands, and training organizations to ensure alignment with evolving mission requirements

Requirements

Qualifications:

• At least five (5) years of experience in surface warfare tactics, military operations, and doctrine development required; Ten (10) or more years of experience is highly desired
• Proven ability to provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis in complex surface warfare applications
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering documentation, reports, and briefings on tactical or operational concepts
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• U.S. citizenship

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's or Doctorate in a related field is strongly preferred (e.g., Naval Science, National Security, Military Studies)

Clearance:

• Active or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Salary Description

$80,000 - $130,000
