We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Cardio Cath Lab Director to lead our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This leadership position will be instrumental in advancing our mission of excellence in cardiovascular care.
Position Summary:
The Cardio Cath Lab Director will oversee the operational, clinical, and administrative functions of the cath lab. This individual will be responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing staff performance, and collaborating with leadership and physicians to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cath lab operations including staffing, scheduling, equipment maintenance, and budget.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures in line with Vista Medical Center standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize clinical workflows and outcomes.
- Monitor key performance indicators and spearhead quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including Joint Commission and CMS standards.
- Mentor and support professional development of cath lab staff.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) with current state licensure.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional cardiology environment.
- Strong clinical knowledge of invasive cardiology procedures and cath lab operations.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Advanced certifications such as CCRN, RCIS, or related credentials are a plus.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive performance improvements.
