Position Summary

General Atlantic is looking to hire an Associate to support the Corporate Accounting team. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

This individual will be responsible for performing monthly and quarterly close activities, preparing financial packages and materials for review by senior management, assisting in the preparation of annual and quarterly consolidated financial statements, liaising with external auditors, and maintaining documentation for the corporate accounting team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including recording journal entries performing account reconciliations, and providing insightful explanations of variances
  • Preparation of monthly and ad hoc financial presentations to senior management
  • Assist with the preparation of the Company's consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare footnote disclosures to support quarterly and annual financial statements

Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of experience (including at least 2 years in public accounting)
  • Bachelor's degree and CPA required
  • Strong US GAAP accounting expertise
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including ability to develop complex PowerPoint presentations
  • Workday and/or Investran knowledge a plus
  • Alteryx knowledge a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBi or Tableau) a plus
  • Alternative asset management or financial services experience is preferred, but not required
  • Commitment to excellence in work product, strong time management skills, and a desire to learn
  • High energy level, strong communication skills
