Job Description:
Administer and maintain cybersecurity and information assurance (IA) functions in accordance with DoD policies and procedures for projects within USTRATCOM J2.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain cybersecurity and information assurance (IA) functions in accordance with DoD policies and procedures.
  • Recommend cybersecurity policies and strategies that address legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including security technologies, operations, and policy enforcement mechanisms.
  • Develop, maintain, and advise the Government on security documentation, including Authority to Operate (ATO) packages, in compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST guidance.
  • Provide expert guidance on application and system security, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with mission needs.
  • Conduct audits of data on J2-owned systems, provide detailed audit trails, and ensure compliance with Government policies and directives.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of Operational Plans (OPLANs) with a focus on IT and cybersecurity integration.
  • Ensure critical IT processes and procedures are documented, updated, and continually improved.
  • Participate in Government-directed working groups focused on IT modernization, Data Strategy, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) capabilities
Required Qualifications
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the following areas:
    • Experience with and/or education using Xacta for ATO or similar application
    • Experience with and/or education securing systems and applications in multiple infrastructure models (e.g. cloud, hypervisors, bare metal, etc.)
    • Experience with and/or education with NIST, DoD, and IC security processes and regulations
