The Associate Manager, Marketing Communications is responsible for developing and maintaining marketing communication strategies to meet Sports Medicine business objectives. In this role, you'll partner closely with Marketing and leadership to define, produce and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, elevate our brand, and sharpen our competitive edge. This position offers a hybrid work flexibility and requires up to 30% of domestic travel.

What you will do

This position offers a hybrid work flexibility and requires up to 30% of domestic travel.
- Develop and implement annual marketing communication plan with comprehensive marketing strategies aligned to overall business goals
- Partner with the Marketing Team to define, produce and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns
- Develop and measure message effectiveness and pivot when necessary to drive customer engagement
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Manage and maintain campaign calendar for external communication activities to track project status, establish priorities, and traffic deliverables
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels and materials
- Seek out opportunities to enhance and expand our customer reach via communications through best practice sharing across the business unit and extending into the industry to build a strategy for maintaining our competitive advantage
- Monitor key competitor communications, use insight to make recommendations as to how to enhance Stryker's communication performance and create differentiation for our customers
- Hold team accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities
- Mentor, develop and influence across the business, intentionally building cross-divisional relationships
- Maintain a high degree of self-motivation, generate fresh ideas and foster positive team interaction
- Lead a team of professionals, develop employees, which includes hiring, communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures
- Create and manage budget and allocate resources effectively
- Manage key agency partners for the business unit, monitoring spend, agency performance, areas of opportunity and service levels
What you will need:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in marketing communications, communications, marketing or a related field
- 6+ years of work experience required
Preferred
- Working experience in marketing communications or marketing experience in medical device industry or healthcare
- Preferred knowledge of the big picture marketing framework, or similar marketing competencies
- Robust marketing communications skillset
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated effective managerial skills
- Attention to detail and demonstrate ability for follow-up
- Proven track record of high performance
- Experience creating integrated marketing communication plans, and a track record of hitting key performance indicators
- Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
- Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with project management, sales enablement and social media platforms
