Job Title: MRI Technologist

Shift: Nights Sunday 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday and Tuesday 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Alternate Wednesdays and Saturdays 6:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
Experience: 2+ years of experience required
License: ARRT certification
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Must-Have: Siemens Experience
Job Description:
- Perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients utilizing highly technical equipment and administer contrast materials as required.
- Prepare the scan room and patient for examination.
- Draw up IV contrast if needed; administer oral contrast if indicated; perform warm-up procedures on equipment; enter patient data and appropriate scan parameters; review patient data to assure proper exam; screen patients for contraindications prior to the MRI study; explain the procedure and answer patient questions.
- Transport patients into the exam room, assist them in positioning appropriately for the exam; determine any allergies; inject appropriate IV contrast; perform the scan while ensuring proper positioning; be alert for the need for additional or thinner slices/images. Utilize correct protocols, coils, restraints, and other materials when scanning.
- Assure proper marking with regard to the orientation of the patient; enter images with a keypad with attention to the order of images.
- Prepare records for the radiologist and assure that all clinical information is complete; ensure that exam images are in the correct order; provide additional information as required.
Note: All scheduling requests must be made prior to submission. Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius. Local candidates will not be considered.
