Jefferson's Ferry, a premier and dynamic senior living community in South Setauket, Long Island, NY. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations. The ADON plays a key leadership role in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, mentoring nursing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of resident care.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the DON in the supervision and coordination of all clinical activities.
• Assists the DON in recruitment, retention and education and disciplinary activities within the Nursing Department.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Prepares, implements and evaluates resident assessment and comprehensive care plans regularly.
• Oversees the participation of other disciplines in the resident assessment process.
• Assures the effectiveness of the care planning process on behalf of all residents.
• Assures the integration of rehabilitation goals and interventions in the interdisciplinary care plan process.
• Participates in Discharge Planning Meetings.
• Oversees the development and implementation of a rehabilitation nursing program.
• Communicates Jefferson's Ferry policies and programs to staff.
• Consults with DON on admission, room assignment and discharge of residents.
• Participates in the community's Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
• In the absence of the DON, assumes the responsibilities of that position.
• Participates in nursing care as needed.
• Assures service satisfaction. Investigates and resolves all resident complaints.
• Participates in the investigation of accidents, incidents, grievances, and allegations of abuse, neglect and/or mistreatment.
• Maintains the confidentiality of all resident and staff information.
• Assures adherence to residents' rights.

* Rates are based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Requirements

• Current NYS RN license
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience in long-term care required
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience preferred
• Supervisory Experience required
• Experience with EMR (Sigma Care preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Department of Health regulations and compliance
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
