Job Overview:
LPL is looking for a Product Analyst / Business Analyst to partner with the Model Management Product Manager, ensuring smooth collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams (e.g., Data Foundation, Operations, Security Master, Technology). This role will lead requirements gathering, coordinate with business and operations SMEs, and handle light project management and reporting from a product standpoint. The ideal candidate will help refine LPL's Model Management initiatives, providing the necessary analysis and documentation to streamline processes, mitigate risk, and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and facilitate sessions with Business, Operations, and
  • Tech teams to elicit and document requirements for Direct Business enhancements.
  • Serve as a primary contact for cross-functional queries, translating business needs into actionable specifications.
  • Work alongside the Model Management Product Manager to document user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlogs in an agile environment.
  • Create and maintain process flows, feature definitions, and other artifacts that articulate business and technical requirements.
  • Provide light project management support by tracking milestones, dependencies, and deliverables for Model Management initiatives.
  • Prepare regular status updates and progress reports, ensuring leadership visibility into risks and achievements.
  • Data Analysis & Validation
  • Perform basic data analysis (e.g., running SQL queries, reviewing data sets) to validate requirements, confirm assumptions, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Identify potential gaps or issues in existing data flows and propose corrective actions.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, demos) as needed, promoting best practices in product development
  • Coordinate with Ops and SMEs to address operational concerns, align on process improvements, and escalate issues proactively.

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of Business Analyst or Product Analyst experience, ideally in financial services or another highly regulated setting.


Core Competencies:
  • Familiarity with Centrally Managed Investment Products a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
  • Experience with Jira for backlog management.
  • Process Mapping & Communication
  • Proficient in process flow documentation, requirement gathering, and bridging business-technical conversations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, capable of delivering concise, clear updates to leadership and peers.
  • Collaboration: Works well across business, ops, and technical teams, building consensus and managing priorities.
  • Organization: Adept at juggling multiple workstreams, dependencies, and reporting duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Embraces change, remains flexible under shifting priorities, and consistently seeks to improve processes.


Pay Range:
$67,688-$112,813/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
