Job Summary:
The Executive Director of Admissions & Student Recruitment is a key member of the admissions team at the Wisconsin School of Business. This role involves engaging over 5,000 prospective applicants annually and generating approximately 2,000 completed applications for various programs, including Full-Time, Executive, and Professional MBA programs, an online MS in Data Insights & Analytics, and seven resident one-year master's programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Execution: Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Executive Director will oversee the strategy and execution of recruitment, evaluation, and selection processes for students applying to the assigned programs.
- Leadership & Collaboration: The position involves leading direct reports and collaborating closely with the Marketing and Strategic Communications unit and Knowledge Centers to implement effective recruitment and enrollment tactics.
- Admissions Committee: As a voting member of the admissions committee, the Executive Director will participate in decision-making and approve merit aid packages.
- Event Management: The Executive Director will partner with direct reports to organize and host various on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruiting events.
- University Relations: This role requires working collaboratively with colleagues across the university and building relationships with faculty, students, and alumni to enhance the admissions function and achieve enrollment objectives.

Qualifications:
- Skills: We are seeking a data-driven leader with strong CRM, operations, marketing, and team management skills. Highly developed CRM knowledge is essential.
- Supervision: The Executive Director will supervise two Associate Directors and a Merit Aid Operations Manager.
- Travel: The role includes up to 10% travel and support for some weekend and evening events.
Responsibilities: Directs strategy and execution of programs and procedures involved in the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of students seeking entrance to the assigned unit in support of achieving institutional, enrollment-related strategic goals.
  • 30% Directs unit admissions strategic planning initiatives and establishes recruitment and enrollment goals
  • 10% Develops unit admissions operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives
  • 5% Develops the unit admissions budget
  • 15% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • 10% Serves as the school or college liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing admission information and representing the admissions interests of the school or college
  • 5% Advises school or college leadership on unit enrollment planning and management
  • 5% Serves as liaison to central university admission unit to align academic program admission with university enrollment efforts
  • 10% Marketing and Recruiting: Partner with Marketing and Strategic Communication (MSC) to create and execute advertising and top of funnel activities.
  • 10% Recruit prospective candidates to graduate programs, including overnight travel to events.
