In this role, you'll design and implement quality systems that ensure regulatory compliance, support continuous improvement, and ultimately help deliver safe, reliable blood to those in need. You'll guide national and field quality teams, build strong partnerships across the organization, and foster a culture that lives our RITE values-Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence-every day.
Work location: This position will have a hybrid work environment operating from the Scottsdale, AZ location 3 days per week and working from a remote/ at-home office 2 days per week.

As the VP, Blood Service Division Quality Services, you'll get to:
- Guide the organization in interpreting and applying regulations and standards while ensuring ongoing compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including biological product deviations and third-party notifications.
- Lead the evaluation of quality and compliance metrics, ensuring corrective actions are taken to drive meaningful process improvements.
- Direct the design and redesign of SOPs that meet regulatory standards and are efficient, scalable, and data-driven.
- Support national and field quality teams in delivering compliance, operational excellence, and performance improvement.
- Oversee external inspections and approve responses to any findings or nonconformances.
- Evaluate and approve decisions related to nonconforming products or results, ensuring customer notification and recommending process enhancements.
- Stay informed on industry trends and maintain a strong network of professional relationships.
- Manage and administer the department's budget effectively.
Requirements
Knowledge/ Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Master's or advanced degree in business, management, or health care preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, national, and international regulations as they relate to the blood industry, quality, and manufacturing activities required
- Knowledge of computer environments, standard development, and system life cycle methodology preferred.
Licenses/ Certifications
- CMQ/OE, CQA, RA, PM and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist or Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) by a recognized certifying agency or RN licensure preferred.
Experience
- Ten years of related experience in a regulated industry required. To include:
- Six years of leadership experience.
- Six years of experience in quality, or manufacturing operations.
- Previous experience supporting a multi-location environment preferred.

- Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business and financial data, and develop innovative solutions.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- Must have a participative management style, strong team development, coaching skills, and the ability to lead and motivate senior and executive-level managers.
- Must possess outstanding leadership ability, be decisive, demonstrate sound judgment, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
