As an Application Developer - D365 Finance & Operations with Sporting Life Group, you will design and deliver robust solutions that keep our business systems running smoothly across our national retail banners: Golf Town, Sporting Life, and Team Town Sports.
Reporting to the Director, Data, Engineering & Automation, you'll work with cross-functional teams to enhance and customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Your work will power day-to-day functions in finance, supply chain, retail stores, making you a key player in driving our operational efficiency and business growth.

Reporting to the Director, Data, Engineering & Automation, you'll work with cross-functional teams to enhance and customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Your work will power day-to-day functions in finance, supply chain, retail stores, making you a key player in driving our operational efficiency and business growth.
- Design and develop custom features and enhancements in D365 F&O using X++.
- Create and maintain seamless integrations between D365 and third-party platforms, ensuring reliable data flow and process automation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues to support smooth business operations.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and architects to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in system upgrades and apply patches while ensuring system stability and performance.
- Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation for all customizations and integrations.
- Follow best practices and coding standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable development.
- Provide training, technical support, and knowledge transfer to internal users and IT team members.
- Stay current with the latest features and enhancements from Microsoft and proactively recommend improvements.
- Support the rollout of security practices, ensuring data integrity within the D365 F&O environment.
What You'll Bring;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in application development, with 2+ years focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Proven expertise in X++ development, including extensions, customizations, and system integrations.
- Experience working across D365 F&O modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or HR. Exposure to D365 Commerce is a plus.
- Familiarity with web services, OData, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD.
- Experience with Power BI, SSRS reporting, and data migration tools is an asset.
- Strong understanding of security, permissions, and role configuration within D365 F&O.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer
- Knowledge of PowerApps and Power Automate
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
