Walker Consultant's is seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our team. The role of Structural Engineer is responsible for the structural analysis/design and project coordination for mixed use structures. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in assisting with project management, functional design/consulting and multi-discipline coordination for the project from concept design through construction administration. As a Structural Project Engineer, you will work closely with our team of Engineers and Architects to ensure the timely completion of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and innovative solutions.

What You'll Do

- Lead the overall design and preparation of construction documents for new design projects

- Complete independent structural design and analysis for cast-in-place concrete, prestressed concrete, steel and masonry structural building components

- Supervise and guide work of junior engineers, architectural designers and technicians

- Perform code reviews to ensure projects meet local codes, regulations and standards

- Assist Project Manager with coordination of architectural, structural and MEP disciplines

- Prepare conceptual construction cost estimates based on office data/experience

- Assist with construction phases services including performing site visits, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFI's and coordination of design team documents.

What You Bring

- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University, Master's degree preferred

- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado/Arizona or the ability to obtain licensure within one year

- 4 to 7 years of experience in performing and supervising the design and analysis of low, mid and high rise concrete or steel framed buildings

- Relevant experience in the design and construction of precast, post-tensioned, and/or reinforced concrete structures. Strong knowledge of typical architectural and MEP building systems

- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, CSI Structural Software and other design & engineering packages

- Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

- Strong computer, writing, communication, and team skills

$85,000 - $100,000 a year
