Position Summary
Central Michigan University, University Health Services is seeking a highly qualified, board-certified physician in general internal or family medicine. The primary role will be within Student Health Services. This clinic provides treatment to Central Michigan University students while attending college in coordination with their primary physician or specialist. The scope of practice includes acute visits, well visits, injections, IUD management, allergy management, gynecological exams, basic cardiac screenings, travel health services, and management of sexually transmitted infections. This position may also provide coverage and see patients in our Primary and Specialty Clinic. The Primary and Specialty Clinic provides chronic outpatient care, servicing faculty, staff, and community members.
Successful candidate will be team oriented and participate in all areas related to diversity of medical care. Ideal candidate will also participate in cost management utilization review, quality assurance and medical policy/protocol development, participate in recruiting and staff development, and provide mid-level providers supervision.
Clinics are open 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. Flexible scheduling will be available when the students are not in session.

Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Licensed or eligible for unrestricted licensure in the State of Michigan.
- Board certification or eligibility in general internal medicine or family medicine.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills.
- Ability to work with all disciplines in a health care team.
- Understanding of clinical processes and problem solving.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising mid-level providers.
- Three years of experience in a leadership position supervising mid-level providers in an ambulatory setting.
