We are seeking an Operational Technology Manager to join the leadership group in our Kenai office. The Operational Technology Manager position has a direct impact to lead and support sound solutions related to Cooperative Operational Technologies (OT) systems for Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Communications, Networking, Cyber Security, Supervisory Control and Date Acquisition (SCADA), Outage Management (OMS), Distribution Management (DMS Smart Grid) and Fault Location Isolation Service Restoration (FLISR), Switch Order Management (SOM) and revenue metering systems. Responsible for the efficacy of all aspects of the Cooperative's Information Technology and Cyber Security program. As a member of the leadership team, you are empowered to lead in day-to-day operations within the OT department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership in the planning, recommendations, monitory and tracking of electric transmission, distribution and substation design and preventative maintenance to ensure total system reliability.
  • Oversee the correcting system infrastructure necessary to support system wide Cooperative outage management and restoration systems.
  • Lead in any investigations of complaints and claims related to abnormal system conditions.
  • Ensure the Cooperative generation, transmission, distribution, SCADA, communication systems and cyber security systems, are compliant to applicable codes and standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), Electrical Engineering, or related field. 15 years of OT or IT management experience may be substituted in leu of a degree.
  • Highly preferred to have five (5) years of business/industry work experience, with at least 5 years related to IT, OT or Cyber Security and 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and/or Alaska Railbelt RRC-CIP requirements highly preferred.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience with communications, advanced networking, generating plant controls, SCADA, DMS, or OMS systems highly preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES & LICENSES:
  • Results-oriented leadership background.
  • Excellent communication skills with the technical aptitude to work closely with the management team.
  • Project management skills to manage multiple projects with varying scopes and timelines.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to anticipate, identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Must submit a valid Alaska Driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must possess or provide proof of application for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card, as required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) for unescorted access to secure areas of the nation's maritime transportation system, within 30 calendar days of employment.
  • Must obtain and maintain required security clearance to access confidential information through Homeland Security and other cyber security regulatory agencies.
