About the Role
We are hiring a Risk Analyst who is data-driven and has strong analytical & technical skills. In this role, you will work on the Credit Risk team and will play a key role in launching new products and optimizing loss rates on the existing portfolio. You'll work closely with product, engineering, data analytics, and finance teams, interacting with key stakeholders across many departments.
Goals will be based around empathizing with our customer pain points, and working to improve the experience, while also ensuring bad actors are unable to exploit our good members or monetize in our platform. The ongoing pursuit of creating a fraud free, frictionless experience for our members is never ending, but is forever rewarding and exciting.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $112,140.00 and up to $155,800.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to
- Collaborate with various data teams to build data infrastructure and establish reporting dashboards that will help senior management understand credit risk trends and exposures
- Leverage external and internal Chime data to build credit models and policies in partnership with our Data Science team
- Rethink and redefine loss projection methodologies by building/leveraging statistical techniques and machine learning models to make a step function change in projection accuracy
- 3+ years of experience in a Credit Risk or related roles.
- 1+ years of analytical experience, preferably at a FinTech company.
- Excellent SQL
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience in Python preferred
- Exceptional detail-orientation and organizational skills. You are eager to solve challenging analytical problems for our members
- The drive to work in a fast-paced environment and exceed ambitions deadlines while ensuring flawless completion
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitatively rigorous discipline like engineering, statistics, math, or economics is preferred
