Senior Network Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, design, and troubleshooting with hands-on experience in large-scale data center migrations and network optimization. This role will involve planning, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructure in multi-vendor environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation:
  • Design, configure, and implement robust and secure networks using Cisco, Meraki, and Netscaler technologies.
  • Develop scalable network solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Lead network integration projects, including new deployments and upgrades across various sites and data centers.
• Data Center Migration:
  • Lead and execute end-to-end data center moves, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (storage, server, and security) to ensure seamless transition during migrations.
  • Perform detailed network assessments and develop migration strategies, including risk mitigation, cutover plans, and post-move validation.
• Troubleshooting & Support:
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for network issues, ensuring rapid resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Serve as an escalation point for network incidents and problems across the organization.
  • Ensure the network is optimized for performance and scalability.
• Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall rules, VPN configurations, and secure access policies.
  • Ensure the network is compliant with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
• Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Use network monitoring tools to maintain network health, performance, and availability.
  • Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize network utilization and efficiency.
• Documentation & Training:
  • Document network configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and support staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Proven experience with Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls), Netscaler, and Meraki wireless infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience leading data center moves/migrations.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, etc.).
  • Expertise in Cisco ASA/Firepower for firewall management.
  • Experience with Citrix Netscaler (Client) for load balancing and application delivery.
  • Familiarity with Meraki cloud-managed network devices and dashboard.
  • Experience with network monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
  • Citrix Certified Associate - Networking (CCA-N) or Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N).
  • Meraki Solutions Specialist.
