Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Personal Injury Law Clerk/Attorney to join our growing legal team. This role will involve representing clients in personal injury cases, from initial consultations through trial, to achieve the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills and the ability to provide high-quality legal representation during pre-suit operations and personal injury litigation. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a role in shaping the firm's growth and enhancing our reputation as we expand our geographical reach.
For successful candidates who have not yet completed their JD or passed the Illinois Bar exam/been admitted to the Illinois Bar, such individuals would begin work as a Personal Injury Law Clerk with a salary range of $80,000 - 90,000 per year. Law Clerks will not be able to complete any of the key responsibilities listed below that require an active Bar license until they have one. After receiving their JD and being admitted to the Illinois Bar, such individuals will be promoted to Personal Injury Attorney with a salary range of $100,000 - 120,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and more.
- Assist with and eventually oversee the day-to-day handling of personal injury cases, including pre-suit processes.
- Assist with and eventually oversee the legal process from initiation, discovery, and pre-trial motions.
- Draft and file litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests/responses, demands, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Guide clients through the case process, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances, representing clients in all stages of litigation.
- Negotiate favorable settlements for clients while managing and balancing risks and outcomes, maintaining a trial-ready posture for every case.
Qualifications:
- An expected Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school by August 2025.
- An expectation to be an active member in good standing with the Illinois Bar following July 2025 Bar results.
- 0-3 years of personal injury experience.
Skills:
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a client-first approach.
- Superior writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools.
