Duties & Responsibilities
Summary/objective
The Director of Product Management is responsible for strategic product execution aligned to the objectives of the Executive Leadership Team. This position works in collaboration with Engineering, Product Design and Data Science resources to understand customer needs, competitive position, and overall automotive ecosystem to deliver a rigorously prioritized product roadmap. The Director of Product Management owns the execution of product delivery including going to market task completion so that the organization is aware and informed of new product releases, feature enhancements, and the timing for issue resolution and bug fixes. In alignment with strategic focus, this position will have key responsibilities (1.) Manage the product roadmap and prepare for all quarterly product/engineering planning sessions, (2.) Work with internal and external clients to develop user stories, use cases, and requirements, and (3.) Align product and engineering teams to ensure success of the product roadmaps.

Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.

- Strategy Development: Define and implement product strategies and roadmaps aligned with the company's vision and market opportunities
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including ideation, development, launch, and iteration
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, ensuring they are motivated, productive, and aligned with company goals
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product development and launches
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for innovation
- Customer Focus: Engage with customers and gather feedback to inform product improvements and new features
- Performance Metrics: Define and analyze key performance indicators to measure and guide product success
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product strategies and updates to internal stakeholders and external partners

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or commensurate experience
- 7+ years of product experience, with progressive management responsibility delivering software solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in computer information systems or similar field
- 3+ years of experience working directly customers to deliver delightful solutions
- Automotive, Collision and/or automotive diagnostic software experience
- Understanding of all facets of effective human-centered design and user experience, including strategy, experience/interaction design, user research, visual design, and metrics
- Ability to think creatively and to drive innovation
- Incredible attention to detail with a problem-solving approach
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills with ability to quickly interpret and organize data and information
- Strong understanding of budgets
- High level competence using Microsoft office software and product management software (Jira/Confluence/Azure Dev Ops)
