We're seeking a Corporate Utilities Plant Manager to lead mechanical plant operations and strategy across our entire portfolio - ensuring each location is operating at peak performance, safety, and efficiency.

This is a high-impact, cross-property leadership role where you'll standardize best practices, oversee modernization efforts (especially in legacy sites like Wisconsin Dells and Sandusky), and serve as a trusted expert for utility systems across all Kalahari resorts

In This Role, You'll:
  • Oversee Central Utility Plant (CUP) operations across all properties.
  • Lead system upgrades and transitions at legacy sites.
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans for HVAC and utility systems.
  • Coordinate with Plant Managers to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance.
  • Support long-term planning and CAPEX budgeting for infrastructure.
  • Align operations with safety, sustainability, and energy goals.
  • Travel to properties for implementation and performance audits (25-40%).

This Role is for You If You:
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in utility plant management or facility mechanical systems
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing large commercial or resort-based infrastructure
  • Experience in modernizing outdated systems and leading multi-site alignment efforts
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across all major CUP components
  • Ability to manage and train site-based plant teams, evaluate vendors, and drive accountability
  • Financial literacy in system cost evaluation and ROI-based upgrades
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, or facilities engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Licensed Boiler Operator or equivalent trade license
  • Proficiency with BMS systems (e.g., Johnson, Siemens, Honeywell)
  • Experience in resort/hospitality or high-amenity environments (theme parks, hospitals, casinos)

Why Kalahari:
  • Direct impact on the guest experience and operational efficiency of high-profile resorts
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and travel perks
  • Work with a Facilities team known for excellence, innovation, and collaboration
  • Help shape the utility infrastructure of future Kalahari developments

This role is ideal for a former hands-on expert ready to continue into a high-impact strategic, portfolio-wide leadership position. If you thrive on solving big mechanical challenges and bringing consistency to complex environments, we want to hear from you.
