Job Title: Perioperative Circulator

Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
Must-Have: Excellent understanding of AORN Standards

Description:
The Perioperative Circulator is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for patients during operative or other invasive procedures.
The perioperative nurse uses clinical knowledge, judgment, and reasoning skills to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of the patient undergoing a procedure.
The Perioperative Circulator is responsible for both direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care in the operating room.
The nurse evaluates and documents all components of care delivered within the perioperative environment using the nursing process.
Care is individualized according to patient health status, age level, and surgery/procedure performed.
The nurse must have knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
The ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques is essential.
The role requires maintaining good working relationships with other employees and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working effectively as part of a team providing specialized care is crucial.
Some computer skills are required for the position.
Day shifts are scheduled from Monday to Friday, with a weekend shift available.
The position requires being on call and working holidays.
