Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Specialty: Computed Tomography
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8H Evening, Night Tues-Sat, 1600-2430
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Required
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
- Fluoroscopy
- LA City Fire & Safety
Must-Have:
- One year of CT experience
- Experience in ER/hospital settings
- Trauma center experience is a plus
Job Description:
- Work with 2 CT scanners, 5 DR portables, 1 DR Rad room, and OEC c-arms
- Comfortable floating between X-ray and CT
- Perform common imaging studies such as CT for strokes, traumagrams, heads, chest/abd/pelvis, and X-ray for chest and extremity work
- Use Merge PACS and Cerner EMR systems
- Handle Siemens 128 slice scanners, Carestream portables, and OEC c-arms
- Work collaboratively with team leads and radiologist on-site from 8 am to 6 pm
- No IV starts required, as nurses handle this responsibility
- Weekend work required, but no holiday or call requirements
- Follow the department dress code: blue scrubs for OR (provided onsite), turquoise for the main department
- Complete 3 days of department-specific orientation
