Responsibilities
  • Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
  • Train staff on software applicable to their position, assisting customers with information technology, monitoring system configuration (hardware and software), and providing instruction on computers and applications.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Seven (7) years with Master's or 11 years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.


Specific Education/Experience
  • Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 9 months.
  • Three (3) years of technical experience in support of TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
