We are actively seeking License-Eligible Mental Health Professionals in Virginia who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and are ready to take the next step in their careers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Care Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the nature and scope of each patient's mental health concerns
Develop and implement targeted, evidence-based counseling interventions to support patients in overcoming challenges
Assist individuals in developing and applying behavior modification strategies and effective coping skills
Stay current with the latest evidence-based methodologies to ensure delivery of high-quality care
Collaborate with and refer patients to additional mental health providers or resources when appropriate
Maintain a compassionate, engaged, and patient-centered approach throughout all counseling sessions
Complete timely and accurate documentation and billing within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Team Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with peers, interdepartmental teams, and external providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
Actively participate in bi-weekly peer support meetings, monthly team meetings and ongoing training opportunities to enhance professional development.
Regularly review schedules with the administrative team to monitor progress toward billable expectations and maintain productivity standards.
Adhere to Commonwealth of Virginia Mandated Reporting Laws to ensure client safety and legal compliance.
Participate in continuous monitoring and auditing of case files to ensure documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
Consistently represent Dominion Care in a positive, professional, and mission-aligned manner when interacting with clients, families, colleagues, and community partners.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in counseling or a related field
License Eligible in the state of Virginia as a Supervisee in Social Work or Resident in Counseling
  • Must physically reside in the state of Virginia
  • Diverse clinical background with previous outpatient therapy experience, preferred
