The Senior Analyst - Production Operations, Analytics plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic decision-making of the Production Leadership team and network by leveraging data analytics to generate strategic insights and enhance operational performance. Responsibilities include extracting and analyzing key metrics from Salesforce, Power BI, and Excel, managing and tracking Production budgets, developing and maintaining a catalog of business reports and dashboards in Power BI and Salesforce, and running projects from inception to completion. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvement, improve efficiency, and ensure the ongoing advancement of Berkadia's Production function.

  • Extract and analyze data related to key production metrics using Power BI dashboards, Salesforce reports, and Accounting MRS Excel pivot tables to drive strategic insights and decision-making;
  • Develop and customize Salesforce reports and Power BI dashboards to meet the specific needs of Production Leadership and the Production network, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery;
  • Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance and efficiency of the Production network, supporting Monthly Production Check-Ins and Quarterly Business Reviews;
  • Manage Mortgage Banking and Investment Sales marketing budgets, including the development of annual budgets, review of year-end penalties, and ongoing management of expense dashboards in Power BI;
  • Address ad-hoc Marketing requests for external publications and provide bi-yearly production metric summaries at office, specialty, and lender levels;
  • Conduct analysis of Berkadia's market presence to identify strategic opportunities for recruitment and expansion in key markets and teams;
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new producers by vetting client lists and assisting with the creation of new accounts to ensure seamless integration into the organization;
  • Research and evaluate direct competitors' market share using RCA and analyze overall industry trends to inform strategic positioning and competitive advantage;
  • Perform monthly maintenance of Power BI dashboards, including updating support files and managing security groups to ensure data integrity and accessibility;
  • Provide information to management via written, oral, and PowerPoint presentations by assembling and summarizing data, presenting findings, performing detailed analysis, and delivering possible recommendations or strategies for change;
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, providing actionable insights and executing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions and support to the Production network;
  • Assist in driving initiatives for process improvement and policy development within the Production function;
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects, analyses, and reports as assigned by Production Leadership. Other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams, with a demonstrated ability to leverage these tools for efficient communication and collaboration;
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel;
  • Formula creation (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP, IF, INDEX-MATCH, etc.), data analysis tools (e.g., PivotTables, charts, graphs, filters), data management (e.g., data validation, sorting, conditional formatting), and Power Query (e.g., create, edit, manage external connections);
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI;
  • Data sourcing (e.g., SQL, Excel, SharePoint), data transformation (e.g., Query Editor, clean, transform, M formula language, group, pivot), data modeling (e.g., DAX, calculated columns, calculated measures), data visualization (e.g., matrixes, tables, cards), and analytical thinking to drive actionable insights;
  • Basic SQL proficiency including ability to write simple SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation, including SELECT statements, basic aggregations, JOIN operations for combining data from multiple tables, and data updates, with a foundational understanding of relational database concepts and a willingness to further develop SQL skills;
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or other CRM highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with customer relationship management and exhibiting proficiency in modifying existing reports, building new reports and dashboards, logic filtering and custom calculated columns
  • Experience with RCA preferred, exhibiting understanding of industry-standard tools for market analysis;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, including maintaining project tasks, coordinating work efforts across teams, and consistently meeting deadlines;
  • Proven capability to work independently with minimal oversight and without frequent guidance;
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities;
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to interpret requirements, evidenced by examples of analyzing information, solving problems, and making sound judgments based on experience and data;
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to conduct quality control checks, ensuring accuracy and precision in all deliverable;
  • Ability to manage both long-term strategic projects and ad-hoc urgent requests, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders regarding potential delays due to conflicting priorities;
  • Proactive, can-do attitude, characterized by making suggestions and providing options rather than waiting for direction, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of an organization to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a similar position.
