Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Surgical Services / OR (Circulating RN)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10-hour day shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Current RN license
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association
Must-Have:
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Program
- Moderate sedation and PACU experience preferred
Job Description:
- Responsible for delivering care in the peri-operative setting through assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adults.
- Coordinate with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, pre- and post-operative nurses, and surgical tech.
- Maintain standards of professional nursing.
- May be required to train other nurses.
- Utilize computerized charting and Meditech systems.
- Shift schedules vary, typically Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, or three 12-hour shifts from 7 am to 7:30 pm, or night shifts from 7 pm to 7:30 am, with potential on-call duties.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1
- Scrubs provided by the facility.
Comments: Prioritize candidates with moderate sedation and PACU experience. On-call availability may be required.
