Position Summary

Under the direction and guidance of the Organization and the HSE Field Supervisor, the H&S Representative coordinates company-wide health and safety activities related to all upstream oil and gas activities. Complies with all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, practices, and programs. Takes corrective action within training limitations. Escalates as necessary. Typically requires ASP or OHST certification with 2+ years of health and safety regulatory experience in the oil and gas industry. Key Accountabilities
Provides health and safety support to drilling, construction, and production operations.
Prepares internal communications and necessary tools to assist company personnel in complying with new and existing regulations.
Acts as an incident coordinator to report and investigate HSE events.
Uses professional networking and relationship-building skills to benefit the company's HSE program.
Engages in directing and management of health and safety consultants.
Creates and delivers training materials related to health and safety topics and requirements.
Organizes, schedules, and completes basic projects and assignments in a timely manner with direction and interim review; day-to-day supervision diminishes with tenure.
Collaborates with the asset, HSE, and other functional teams to effectively meet area and departmental HSE goals.
Assesses jobs, projects, and field activities for compliance with HSE rules, regulations, policy, and law.
Participates in audits of assets and supports operations in the implementation of required corrective actions.
Identifies problems and solutions based on training and knowledge of functional practices and procedures; uses a disciplined approach to problem-solving, and frequently utilizes more senior staff for guidance.
Supports asset-level management with implementation of health and safety regulations, standards, and associated requirements.
Maintains documentation and submits reports in compliance with applicable requirements.
Liaisons with regulatory agencies.
Assists HSE supervision in preparing and maintaining written programs and gathering data necessary for communicating health and safety performance.
Complies with all Company Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and programs. Takes corrective action within training limitations. Escalates as necessary.
Participates in and adheres to all training programs designed to enhance HSE knowledge, safety standards and improve job performance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Certificates, Licenses
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Valid Driver's License required.
ASP or OHST required.
CSP preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in OSH or related discipline preferred.

Experience
2+ years of health and safety regulatory experience in the oil and gas industry.
PSM/RMP experience is a plus.
Industrial Hygiene experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Critical:
Demonstrates knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and methods of compliance.
Oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Basic knowledge of oil and gas operations and the implications for compliance with environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations.

Work Environment
70/30 field and office split.
Routine work involves activities during a typical 9-hour day such as standing, sitting, driving, walking, typing, and twisting as necessary.
May require occasional overnight travel out of state.
May require occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Must follow all company safety policies, including when visiting field locations.

The pay range for this position is between $74,094 and $93,860 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that the annual salary information is a general guideline, and that annual salary will vary depending on your location and that Berry Corporation ("Berry") will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope of responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considers when extending an offer. This position is eligible for short-term cash incentive bonus and long-term incentive awarded in restricted share units, excellent benefits including full health benefits, 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, tuition reimbursement, 9/80 flex schedules, and generous paid time off.
