Our studio seeks an individual with a background in both social media strategy and content creation and the ability to operate with a wide array of personalities (both internally and client-side). Position Overview

As a Senior Social Strategist & Content Creator, you will serve as a leader at Zero with the opportunity to define the creative practice in social media. We expect an entrepreneurial and results-oriented focus to spur the growth of the studio, as well as future-forward thinking and the ability to work across creative disciplines and client needs. You'll be working directly with the Creative and Account leads, while also working with members of the Creative team and across several of the accounts at the studio.

To be successful in this role, you are required to stay up to date on fast-moving trend cycles and culturally relevant topics to understand what will resonate for brands online. You are someone who has a natural affinity and passion for the internet and will be the person who consistently brings this awareness and thinking to the team at large.

Your primary responsibility will be collaborating with and leading our team(s) to create the most effective work possible for the clients and audiences we serve in an enjoyable, engaging, and positive environment. Your day-to-day tasks will require you to work across both the creative and account teams. On Social Strategy your focus will be on leading strategic concepting and planning for social media, content calendar planning, content creation, and metrics analysis and reporting.

You will be managing a high volume of projects and will be the primary point of contact for creative production and social media, so problem-solving, identifying opportunity, and strong communication skills are essential. Inspiring clients to see how creative ideas will impact their business as well as providing measurable value will be vital to your success.

Day to Day Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy
  • Lead strategic concepting and planning for social media, participate in content creation, and provide metrics analysis
  • Contribute across organic, paid ad, and influencer program efforts as well as concepting for broader brand campaigns
  • Conduct research, social media audits, social listening, platform determination, messaging and audience identification
  • Facilitate brainstorming workshops with the Creative team to concept and execute content that drives engagement
  • Keep Zero on top of trends and stay plugged into industry updates
  • Following development from major social platforms and innovative social marketing campaigns
  • Lead influencer discovery, strategy, outreach, briefing, contracting and client relations
  • Concept and create low fidelity, creator-style content for channels such as TikTok and Instagram. Note: you are not expected to create graphic design-forward content in this role.
  • Lead the production of social content for posts and video across various platforms and create platform-specific content yourself, ensuring the look, feel, voice and tone stay on-brand for Zero's clients
  • Analyze metrics across channels to determine what's working, what's not, and where there are opportunities for change and growth
Strategic Collaboration
  • Guide small-to-medium multi-disciplinary teams toward the common goal of executing on-brief creative projects
  • Serve as a trusted advocate to our clients, advising on business challenges and opportunities, from start-up to enterprise levels
  • Approach every project with a clear purpose and ensure all executions meet client and user goals
  • Guide our clients through the creative process and articulate its value to their busines
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal systems and increase efficiency


Project Leadership & Oversight
  • Lead and contribute to the research and discovery phase through competitive audits, research, and any additional tactics that add value
  • Lead and develop social strategies that are unique to the market, true to the audience and genuine to the beliefs and vision of the brand
  • Facilitate workshop sessions with the creative team to collect and define ideas that are best suited for the brand
  • Lead collaboration efforts to develop of presentation that clearly and effectively tell the story of our work to our clients
  • Lead the team in executing on effective art direction, social media strategies and content solutions that deliver on the brand strategies, are unique to the market, and genuine to the beliefs and vision of the brand
  • Effectively manage your time and work closely with the creative and account teams to manage project timelines and schedule check-ins as needed to meet internal deadlines
  • Approach every project with a solutions-oriented mindset and clear purpose while ensuring all executions meet business and user goals
Studio Leadership & Mentorship
  • Inspire the team to do their best work
  • Serve as a source of support and guidance
  • Consider the team's diverse perspectives and communication styles
  • Collaborate and support studio partners and the Account Management team in monitoring timelines, project budgets, risks, and scope overages
Account Growth & Relationship Management
  • Be entrepreneurially minded and constantly look for ways to improve our clients' business results
  • Identify mutually beneficial ways to expand our working relationship with clients
  • Collaborate with the Account and New Business teams to identify opportunities for project extension
  • Manage client relationships alongside account and creative leads to ensure client satisfaction
  • Be an expert communicator who isn't afraid to have the tough conversations that may occasionally be needed
  • Autonomously run key production and social accounts while managing and growing relationships


Skills & Competencies
  • An affinity for being online and a passion for the internet and cultural trends
  • An eye for creating content that speaks the brand language, is culturally relevant and will speak to the target audience
  • Experience planning, shooting and editing TikTok and Reels content in-platform
  • Experience leading the creation of social strategies in collaboration with a team
  • Experience leading the creation of social calendars based on strategy
  • Experience managing influencer partnerships and knowledge of influencer trend cycles
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Keen eye for detail and a high degree of familiarity with internet trends
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, taking initiative and responsibility for tasks

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience doing social media strategy and content creation either in-house at a brand or at a creative agency
  • You have managed 1-3 mid to large-sized accounts for at least 1 year

Reporting Structure

This position will report to a Creative Director with additional oversight from an Account Director. You can expect to act as an informal mentor for more Junior staff at the Studio.
