About the Work
  • Actively manage cross-functional collaboration between Systems Engineering, Software & Operations groups to drive project progress.
    • Coordinate between various teams to unblock issues, communicate needs and keep the project moving to ensure successful delivery.
    • Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and bring feedback back to the team.
  • Partner with Tech Lead Managers from software and systems engineering teams to create roadmap and project plans.
  • Guide the planning and execution process of the engineering team.
    • Manage and track project status, identity and mitigate risks and raise resource allocation concerns to the Lead TPM.
    • Manage team priorities to ensure delivery of program goals.
  • Regularly communicate project status updates.
    • Summarize team progress to communicate the state of the project.
  • Help with decision making by concisely summarizing data regarding issues and project needs.
  • Respond tactically & be able to pivot quickly to escalations and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of software development process.
  • Be able to translate & present technical information to non technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to address complex challenges and find effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in Agile project management.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders, understand their needs and ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations.

About You
  • At least 7+ years of total working experience, 5+ years of experience in leading a project team preferably in the autonomous vehicle, robotics, aerospace, medical device or automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, and an ability to build relationships and foster cross-functional collaboration between people and teams.
  • Mastery of project management tools and Agile methodologies.
  • Start-up DNA: you thrive in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • "Technical curiosity" - needs to be really driven to "see a problem, solve a problem".
  • Able to pivot quickly & work on the fly without losing sight of the big picture.
  • Need to be fearless in standing up and asking for what is needed, can't be intimidated to fight for resources or revamp broken processes.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering, and/or equivalent technical experience or aptitude.

Bonus Points

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $152,000 and $228,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
