As the Senior Manager - Programmatic and Offsite Ad Products you will be responsible for helping to define and build the product strategy for our growing advertising portfolio leveraging data, research, and stakeholder input to help deliver programmatic and offsite ad products that inspire our customers while fueling the growth of our advertising business. You'll directly lead and develop ad products for social, display, CTV, video, affiliate, search, and programmatic channels, along with others.
As a member of the Best Buy Advertising team, you will be an integral part of defining the future state of our marketplace presence and positioning Best Buy for growth in the digital media and advertising industry. While building the future state product and marketplace strategy, you will be a part of uncovering where and how we can accelerate growth while simultaneously building for the future.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. What you'll do:
- Lead the strategy, development, and execution of the offsite product roadmap for the Best Buy Ads product portfolio. This role will work to differentiate Best Buy within the Retail Media space and build enhancements with our leading product offerings.
- Execute market, consumer, and client research to inform product strategy.
- Build partnerships across internal business, technology, and marketing teams to deliver best in class advertising opportunities.
- Mange 3rd party vendor relationships and act as point of contact between internal and external development teams.
- Advise on new opportunities for monetization in the digital advertising space and be the subject matter expert in new capabilities.
- Collect and document business needs at the inception of new programs and help translate requirements across stakeholders to help build new processes
- Stay updated on industry trends, the retail media network competitive landscape, technology and platform advancements, and incorporate findings to continuously fuel program effectiveness
- Lead with technology related projects and initiatives
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, retail media, advertising or similar
- 3+ years of indirect or direct people leadership and/ or management experience.
- 3+ years of experience with programmatic display advertising exchanges and marketplaces
- 3+ years of experience with programmatic media buying and selling including the full lifecycle of a campaign from concept through analysis
- Advanced level of experience with offsite ad server technology and media advertising supply platforms and partners such as DSPs, SSPs, publishers and identity providers.
- Ability to distill technical details for a business audience
- Retail Media experience
- People leadership
- Marketing or campaign management experience
- Experience working with advertising technology and advertising platforms
- Experience managing marketing/ advertising programs and managing complex relationships internally and externally
- Comfortable in a fast-paced industry, with the skillset to make large decisions in real-time as needed. Approaches challenges with a solution-orientated mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally
- Effective time management skills - demonstrate the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
