Job Description
Job Title: Vascular Sonographer
Job Specialty: Ultrasound
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days, primarily Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Option to discuss 10-hour shifts. Occasional weekend coverage required.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Required and willing to wait
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Must-Have: Expertise in vascular sonography with the ability to perform all types of vascular studies.
Job Description:
- Work in a dedicated vascular lab performing vascular imaging
- Utilize Philips Epiq 7 and GE Vivid E95 for echo; GE Logiq 10 for vascular and US vascular Vasculab
- No float coverage; focus on vascular imaging with 12 combined scanning rooms
- Average 45-minute slots per study; some testing may require double slots
- Use EMR system EPIC; reporting systems ISCV and Medstreaming for vascular
- Lead echo sonographer and Lead vascular sonographer will be your supervisory contacts
- No Radiology Assistants used in the department
- Option to use IV skills, though not required
- Dress code allows for personal scrubs
- Department orientation involves a clinical preceptor and lead sonographer for guidance
- No required holiday work, call, or standby duties
- No specific trauma level requirement
This position is part of an acute care setting, and staff are responsible for self-scheduling or block scheduling based on departmental needs.
