Description:

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ETL processes using tools like Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to set up advanced cloud data infrastructure and support AI-driven models for material/process/product design.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all data systems, employing CDI and CAI tools.
  • Optimize and manage data processing performance, including tuning queries and indexing strategies.
  • Lead the migration of on-premises data systems to cloud-based solutions, focusing on Azure.
  • Implement and manage data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Serve as the technical lead in strategic data management projects, designing and optimizing data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or a masters degree (preferred) in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related work experience after a bachelors degree or 4 years after a masters degree.
  • Expertise in data engineering, with a focus on MS SQL and Azure SQL Database.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration tools, with practical experience in Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Strong understanding of data security, backup, and recovery best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation for data deployments, with proficiency in Python.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code and cloud infrastructure management, particularly on the Azure platform.
  • Proven understanding of modern data architectures and concepts such as real-time data distribution and processing (Kafka, Flink), and modern data warehouse tools (e.g., Databricks).
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, automotive and/or chemical data, with at least basic domain knowledge.
